It's quite substantial with a texture almost like a thick terrycloth, or you might say a tweedy boucle', and it's the same on both sides. While it has about 20% widthwise stretch, it's very stable overall. Nice drape with body, and it's perfect for an unlined sweater jacket or cardigan, cape, sweater dress or skirt, etc. The colors are black and silvery white.
