Germany, Imperial. An Observer’s Badge, by C.E. Juncker consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac MAHSUD 1919-20(Beobachterabzeichen). Constructed of silvered brass with multi coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a German State Crown, surrounding a central radiant field overlaid by a red enameled plaque with a black and white checkered centrepiece, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked but demonstrating the
