Spain, Franco’s Period. An Order Of Cisneros, Commander, C.1950 Archive a War Merit Cross Second(Orden de Cisneros). Instituted in 1944 by Generalissimo Francisco Franco. 1944 1977 Issue. In bronze gilt, an enameled red Maltese Cross with ball finials, featuring clusters of gilt crossed arrows in each quadrant, the obverse exhibiting a superposed enameled black Francos era eagle, measuring 60. 63 mm (w) x 65. 43 mm (h inclusive of integral ball), with minor oxidation, light enamel contact, on original ribbon, very fine.
