Acer palmatum 'Garnet' ~ Garnet Japanese Maple Size:7 GALLON Monkey GrassGarnet Japanese Maple is a fast growing deciduous shrub with an upright mounding habit and pendulous branching sporting deeply dissected palmate foliage that emerges bright orange red and turns garnet in fall. Small, non showy but attractive umbels of purple flowers bloom in spring followed by samaras. Grows best in rich, moist, slightly acidic well drained soils. Prefers full sun in cooler climates, but needs afternoon shade in southern areas.
