Painted Indian Cabinet From Bikaner - 19thC Period - 19th Century 78 x 45 x 180This beautifully painted Indian cabinet from Bikaner is a shrine for the family's favourite gods. The red and green tones are classic colours used in Bikaner, a town in Northern Rajasthan. This cabinet is painted on the front, sides and back with traditional Rajasthani symbols and depicts four of the main Hindu gods in the front panels; Parvati, Ganesh, Hanuman, Krishna (clockwise). The floral painting on the sides and back is a classic Mughal design.
