The quality of brass jali is some of the best workmanship we've seen for many a year. The red & green lacquer feet are turned in the traditional way. Similar brass work is found on merchant boxes and singhasan (god thrones). The style has strong Arabic themes and was likely influenced by the Mughal period in India (15261761).
