It was a huge and elegant place with ornate ceilings, marble pillars and rows upon rows of tables, all with a view of the stage where performers entertained all day and evening. Terrapin, lobster and frogs legs were on the menu, as well as ten types of potatoes, and the cafs owners Adolf Becker and Friedrich Rauschkolb would patrol the
