He studied architecture at the national school of art in Mexico, and graduated in 1943. One of Pedro Ramirez Vazquezs first projects was a design for a pre fabricated school, which resulted in 35,000 schools being built in rural areas, and was awarded the Grand Prix at the Milan Triennial in Italy
