English Art Nouveau Tile Tubelined Design of Roses Vintage A fine and rare tileA pretty English Art Nouveau tile by T & R Boote with a tubelined design of roses and ribbons. Measures 6" square. A couple of minor flakes and wear to the high points. Tubelining is a labor intensive process, where the outlines of the design are all applied by hand. The slip is drawn on the tile much like decorating a cake. Then the glaze is applied within the walls created by the artist.
