Chickens Woodblock Print By Ohara Koson - Early 20th Century Jewellery and the preservation of Nepal’sThis Japanese woodblock print of two chickens foraging amongst grass is by master artist Ohara Koson (1877 1945). Koson was a master woodblock print designer famous for his bird and flower designs (kach e). He was involved in the shin hanga new art movement in early 20th century Japan, its literal meaning new woodcut block prints. From 1926 through his association with Watanabe Shzabur and other publishers he gained popularity and his works were
