I speak to fill the void

Zephyranthes candida (White Rain Lily) archival print but I wish I didn’tThis work is part of the Flora of Resilience series. It brings together a verse from a song that became an anthem of resistance in Brazil during the years of military dictatorship with the presence of the white rain lily (Zephyranthes candida). Native to South America, the flower blooms after long periods of rain, emerging in the quiet aftermath of storms. Here, the botanical form is approached as a symbolic structure rather than representation alone.
