To be successful they should be kept in a 30 gallon or larger aquarium with live sand as the substrate. They rarely will become aggressive towards other fish, but are territorial, and will fight with its own kind unless they are a mated pair. They primarily feed off the bottom by sifting through the sand eating mouthfuls of
