As an artist, she has created CALIKESH, a project that draws from thousands of years of tradition, while envisioned for contemporary spaces. Each rug is designed in Badaoui's studio in Yucca Valley California. The colors are made using painstakingly harvested local Moroccan dyes such as saffron, as
